It’s probably problematic to include this picture with our announcement of Popolo Shirts. But they’re cool in ways you might not suspect. We’re always trying to keep things as local as we can. Local means different things depending on the item your choosing. No one expects local sea bass since, well, we’re in the mountains. And When the winter comes, our list of local produce shrinks and the distance we consider local increases.
It’s the same with shirts. As it turns out, one cannot purchase a locally grown cotton product in Vermont or New Hampshire. Secondly, the idea that locally grown cotton might be spun into thread in our neighborhood is absurd. That it might be woven into fabric and sewn into shirts is ridiculous. And the idea that cotton might be grown, harvest, processed, spun, woven, sewn, and printed…well, let’s face it: that’s a tall order.
So we asked ourselves, what’s the closest to home we could get this dirt-to-shirt product and the answer is North Carolina. In the case of the dirt-to-shirt Popolo Tee, North Carolina is local. These shirts aren’t just MADE IN THE USA. They’re COMPLETELY Made In The USA.
These are very special shirts for this reason.
And they’re a little more expensive just like a local chicken is more expensive.
For $20 you can buy these plain white tees emblazoned with our multicolor logo in select sizes. More sizes should be available soon. We’ll ship these to you for the price of $8.00 via USPS, Priority.
Wherever you are, wherever you roam, the local Popolo Dirt-To-Shirt tee can be yours. It’s a testament to something.
Oh… the button is going to say “BUY TICKETS.” Get over it. Consider it a ticket to your own white tee shirt contest. Thanks.
