Old Home Days is an event to celebrate the old home where you grew up but many people now choose to celebrate the place they feel most at home. Every August Old Home Days fills the streets of Bellows Falls with all sorts of people and on Saturday night the town fathers (or cousins, I guess) produce a dazzling fireworks display over the river.

Popolo serves dinner and drinks on the deck and this year we’re bringing back the Bob Kendall Band whose stellar performance a few years ago could stand to be repeated. Mr. Kendall performs as the fireworks explode overhead. It’s a stunning event, needless to say.

Tickets are $5.00 and the dinner and drinks are a la carte. I hear Chef Tim Cocheo and our magnificent kitchen staff will be preparing filet mignon and lobster in addition to our full menu. There are always special drinks for the occasion and we’ll keep you posted.
