Popolo and WOOL proudly present jazz powerhouse Samirah Evans and Her Handsome Devils live at the Windham Ballroom.

Born into a family of musicians, Samirah Evans found her groove dancing and singing on the streets of New Orleans when she was only seven years old. Her father provided backup and she grew into a formidable presence on the NOLA scene, sharing stages with countless luminaries.

Moving to her husband’s hometown of Brattleboro after the disaster of Hurricane Katrina, Ms. Evans quickly found an audience in the region, becoming a regular at the Vermont Jazz Center, Greenfield’s Arts Block, and many other notable venues while continuing to tour internationally.

In the meantime she’s honed her big smoky voice, a glamorous and engaging stage presence, and a dazzling repertoire and we are honored to host her at the Windham for a fabulous night of Big Easy fun.

This show is presented by Popolo and Black Sheep Radio, to which a portion of the proceeds will be presented. Advance tickets are $20 and are available at Popolo in Bellows Falls, and online at www.popolomeanspeople.com. Tickets at the door are $22.
