Popolo’s bartenders should be experienced at their craft, passionate about mixology, able multitaskers, and ultimately convivial. Popolo prides itself on the quality and inventiveness of its cocktails. In addition to well-prepared classic drinks, we regularly introduce our own signature libations both for seasonal menu inclusion and for one-time special events. In fact, in one year our mixologists might create 100 new drinks. Were we a normal restaurant this might seem like overkill. Our movie nights and special menus drive us to imagine what might complement an event or break the monotony of life. Trends are explored, other innovators are reviewed, and our own recipes are created. It’s not an easy task and requires a certain passion for the discipline.

Experience behind the bar is important if you’re applying. You must be TIPS certified by the State of Vermont, as must all our servers. Please send a cover letter about your interest in mixology and a current resumé showing relevant experience. We’re looking for the right people, not just hiring a resumé.

Bar shifts are all evening shifts and sometimes include catering events both on-site and off-site.
