Dishwasher / Prep Cook is an entry level position. It’s hard work but not like, say, coal mining. It’s something of an athletic experience, done to the tunes playing in the kitchen. The importance of this position can never be overstated: there are few jobs in this industry that get more praise and provide a more sturdy backbone for everyone else. Experience is helpful but not necessary, we will provide on-the-job training. We’re looking for someone who wants to learn and move up in the organization but also people who want to come in do a full day’s work, learn about all the ingredients and help the chef keep these where they need to be to make the machine run. Usually this position is part time with the potential of becoming full time. Make no mistake, you’re also washing dishes.
